SANAS has undertaken a project to review our processes and communication channels with our clients, accredited facilities as well as our assessors. The communications meetings and assessor conclaves held in the major centres during 2008 confirmed the foreseen change was necessary.
The main objective and focus of the project committee was to derive a solution to address the concerns raised by the accreditation community with regards to centralised communication
with SANAS.
The committee embarked on activities including our internal structure, communication lines with clients and assessors and the hierarchy of processes and its impact on service delivery of the end product.
We then decided that the first step should be to resolve the various communication lines and entry-exit points of information into and out of SANAS. One of the main deliverables of the project was to allocate a specific Administrator(s) to a programme to centralise the administration
activities of the programme.
In the future, clients accredited to certain scopes which are categorised by programmes may contact the specific administration personnel (see attached list)
